Bee Swarm Recovery
Bees are one of our busiest pollinators and are crucial to the survival of earth. There are many types of bees and they will not usually sting without being provoked.
Please note that we will only move bees if they are in your property or there is a substantial risk to human or animal life.

WASP/European Hornet Nest
Wasps and hornets are also pollinators but more widely thought of as a garden pests, especially unwelcome ones at summer barbecues.
Hornets are often feared for their size though much like a bee will only sting if it feels it needs to protect itself. Hornets are drawn to light and are mistakenly thought to be attacking in the evening when they are drawn to the light.

Asian Hornet nest
The now infamous Asian hornet or yellow-legged hornet is an invasive species, having arrived in mainland France in around 2004, they are now widespread.
Generally smaller than their European counterparts, they can be identified by their darker body and yellow legs. Both types of hornets feed on other insects including bees and wasps, but European hornets will only feed on bees occasionally, an Asian hornet can kill up to 50 a day.

Holistic Pest Management
Wherever possible we would prefer to live side by side with nature, but we know that is not always possible. Whilst some pests can pose a threat to life in certain circumstances, we must also remember some pests are a necessary part of our ecosystem. We are required by law to consider this when dealing with pests. In some cases holistic pest management may be a better solution and though this may be less immediate, the longer term benefits are ecologically impactful and longer lasting.
